WAS THAT A SLEIGH PASSING OVERHEAD?

We know some people who visit this web site might not actually believe in Santa Claus, but we thought we’d put the idea in your head anyway.  Well, the orders are stacking up for BETWEEN WEATHERS and today we learned it will be with the distributor in about a week.  At the same time we learned that author Ron McMillan’s interview with Mary Blance has been aired on her Radio Shetland BOOK SHOW (04/12/08).  It seems not to be available on the internet for those of us outside the area but, by courtesy of friends in faraway places (Seattle and New Orleans) whom we thank, you can hear it by clicking here http://drop.io/ronmcmillaninterview

In a new ‘first’ we are delighted to present a podcast interview between Chris McIvor, author of A BEND IN THE NILE, and Sandstone’s Moira Forsyth.  The interview was conducted before a live audience at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, and recorded by Hi-Arts’ Jim McAuslan.  Chris discusses his early (in his own word) ‘naive’ experiences in Sudan, and alludes to his career in development that lay ahead and which will be the subject of future books.  The interview runs for half an hour and can be accessed at Hi-Arts’ NORTHINGS web site here http://www.hi-arts.co.uk/podcast as NORTHINGS 4: A BEND IN THE NILE.

Don’t miss out on SCOTTISH PRINTED BOOKS, published for this year’s 500th anniversary ofprinting in Scotland, and THE KERRACHER MAN.  Visit the author’s web site at http://www.thekerracherman.co.uk/

FICKLE MAN, our coming book on Robert Burns, edited by Johnny Rodger and Gerard Carruthers will be with the distributor early in the New Year.  We have done all we can to make the production standards quite superlative, a match for the text and suitable for the Bard’s 250th birthday.
