Taking RLS in Love to completion, and more

Posted by RLD on 7th May 2009

John Allen has just finished sailing Manny Gorman and some of his support team around the Scottish islands on Manny’s unpowered round of the Corbetts.  Since then Manny has been taking a bit of a pasting from the weather in Dumfries and Galloway.  You can read about his progress here http://corbettrun.blogspot.com/

John will be thinking about his coming appearances at the Nairn Book and Arts Festival http://www.nairnfestival.co.uk/authors.php and at the Inverness Book Festival http://www.invernessbookfestival.co.uk/  Both of these Festivals look like they are taking big leaps forward this year.

Iain Macwhirter took a day off his usual political beat to review CAIRNGORM JOHN for the SUNDAY HERALD.  You can read it in the book’s Hinterland now, take direct access from here http://www.sandstonepress.com/site/hinterland/peaks_of_bravery/

Right now Stuart Campbell is putting the final touches to RLS IN LOVE.  Stuart’s text and RLS poems have been lovingly set out by John @ Iolaire and the final cut is being made for the plate section which is going to have some surprising and unusual original prints.  We have quite a bit going on around this title which you can read about here in due course.

Ron McMillan sends apologies to his blog readers for missing a week after dislocating his shoulder.
