Our plans for the summer (for your summer reading, we hope) gather apace. Just this week we received the introduction to THE WEEKEND FIX from the legendary walker, climber and writer, Hamish Brown. CAIRNGORM JOHN: A Life in Mountain Rescue will be going to the printer in the next few days. For the last three weeks the author has been proofing furiously from a sun lounger by the shores of the Red Sea and sending multimedia images to the jealous staff here in Sandstone Towers. Already the book is exciting television, radio and press interest. John Allen has been booked for the Nairn Art and Books Festival (http://www.nairnfestival.co.uk) and more engagements are on the way for him and other authors.
