Authors and agents are welcome to submit non-fiction and fiction to Sandstone Press. Please consider the following before contacting me at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Authors are advised to look at our website and judge whether their work is suitable for our lists. If an author is submitting work personally, but is normally represented by an agent, they should provide this information. An introductory email should outline the type of book being proposed and give a brief biography of the author, including their publishing history.
Sandstone Press publishes fiction and non-fiction for adults. We do not publish books for children, poetry or short story collections; we do not currently publish in the genres of science fiction, fantasy, general historical fiction and horror. We are interested in literary fiction and crime novels and thrillers, any of which may have a historical setting or be set in the future.
Please do not submit several books at once. If we request a synopsis and a couple of chapters, please send these as Word attachments. We try to respond promptly but most scripts are sent to external Readers for a preliminary assessment. It may take several months for us to make a final decision about a book. We always acknowledge receipt of scripts. Please contact us again if you get no reply.
